Ever since moving to University City 7 years ago and learning of the University City Searchlight my goal has been to ensure that it shines on for the next 100+ years. Bill Kauffman has been the keeper of this light for decades and it is time to pass the torch and "modernize" the light so that we can ensure it's future operation for many more generations.

The goal of this site and blog is to raise awareness of the lights existence and discover resources and individuals that can assist in getting the light to a point where we can operate it multiple times a year.
