The Historical Society of University City is requesting that the City of University City support the restoration of the University City Searchlight.

The City is wanting to put a formal plan in place to manage the light which we support 100% but there have been no updates from the city since June of 2025 so we are unable to continue work. We are asking that they make this project a priority and allow it to move forward so that the light can shine over the city and St. Louis once again!
